The hotline numbers are for families in need of resources for Child Support, Child-Care, Debt Relief and Domestic Violence.

For general help, listed is the Illinois Department of Human Services Help Line. Also listed are hotlines for homeowners needing assistance with Mortgage payments, a Sexual Assualt hotline and a Suicide Prevention Lifeline.

Child Support Enforcement Hotline---(877) 696-6775

For single moms seeking child support, the US Department of Health and Human Services will send a free handbook complete with excellent advice and all their local contact numbers for help.

Child-Care Subsidy Hotline---(800) 424-2246
When daycare costs are too high, there is help. The National Association of Child Care Resources is a federally funded agency which will help you find all options for child care payment assistance programs in your area.

Debt Relief Hotline---(800) 291-1042
For families struggling with credit card debt, (typically over $10,000); relief is available. This national agency will contact your creditors, reduce payments, interest and even principle amounts owed. Harassing collection calls will stop.

Mortgage Payment Assistance---(800) 750-8956
For families falling behind on mortgage payments, this national agency will work with your mortgage company to arrange a workout plan to catch up missed payments. Housing counselors will discuss all options available to avoid foreclosure. Agency does not make loans or buy property.

National Domestic Violence Hotline
To locate a domestic violence service agency.

National Sexual Assault Hotline---1-800-656-HOPE (4673)
To locate a sexual abuse crisis center.

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline---(800) 273-TALK (8255)
The Lifeline is a central switchboard to immediately connect callers—24/7— to a network of certified local crises centers so callers can receive counseling or emergency services, if needed, close to home.
