State Job Listings

The new state master contract gives AFSCME-represented state employees who are covered under that contract the right to view all state of Illinois AFSCME bargaining unit vacancies from any computer with Internet access. The direct access to these postings is a significant advance in the union’s efforts to protect members’ jobs and enhance their rights on the job.
Vacancies on this list are actual vacancies that the employer says it intends to fill. Formerly the list had many positions listed that were not actually slated to be filled.

As always, the rules laid out in the state master contract govern how jobs are to be filled.
