Call-in days make an impact on lawmakers—make the call TODAY!
DSPs throughout the state have been coming together in their local unions to call their lawmakers and asking them to support our bills to raise DSP wages. These calls make a powerful impact on lawmakers, and will help us make the argument we deserve fair pay at Lobby Day.
If you missed your local’s call-in day, there’s still time! Call 877-890-2056 and tell your state representative:
"I'm an AFSCME member in your district and I care for individuals with disabilities. Every day, we care for the most vulnerable, yet many DSPs like me struggle to make ends meet. I urge you to support House Bill 3089, with a $2 increase and strong pass-through language.
After you hang up the first call to your state representative, you’ll get a text message with a number to call your state senator (877-642-4103). Tell them:
"I'm an AFSCME member in your district and I care for individuals with disabilities. Every day, we care for the most vulnerable, yet many DSPs like me struggle to make ends meet. I urge you to support Senate Bill 1617, with a $2 increase and strong pass-through language."
Make sure you sign the petition!
There’s one thing you can do right now that will send a message to lawmakers—and it only takes a second.
Sign the petition telling lawmakers DSPs deserve fair pay!
Once you’ve signed it, make sure to send it to your coworkers too!
